You are already familiar with Lodi. It's my experience that a FUN Dz is made by the jumpers more-so than the staff. IF the jumping is cheaper and the jumpers work at making it a fun place to be, I see no issue with it. Also Isn't you country all about promoting free market competition? Absolutely! On all fronts! search Lodi or Bill Dause Yup Lodi IS a fun and inexpensive DZ but as with all purchases, Caveat emptor. popsjumper 2 #27 November 21, 2012 Hell, for $10/pop you could have midgets peddling the damned plane....take ME! Besides, mechanics is for sissies. My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. Falcon5232, SCS8170, SCSA353, POPS9398, DS239
danornan 79 #28 November 21, 2012 Personally, I'd be concerned about jumping out of the cheapest airplane. I know that you have a parachute on your back, but you still have to get out!Dano
Southern_Man 0 #29 November 21, 2012 As far as I know (and I know much less than everything) the Ranch has not had plane or other issues the way Lodi has. I'm not a big fan of lawsuits and that split seemed to be pretty ugly but sometimes this is just the way of the world--I don't know the inside story and who was right/wrong/etc. In the end the guy bought an existing DZ and IF he is providing a safe jump operation and helping put downward pressure on jump prices that seems like a good deal for fun jumpers. I'm not a FL local, so I have no dog in the fight."What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
