kd5xb 1 #6 November 11, 2011 My first one was #202 in 1977. I was in Tech School at NAS Memphis at the time. As we marched to class that morning -- 10 November 1977 -- the cadence was: "TWO HUNDRED & TWO" "TWO HUNDRED & TWO" "Left, right, left, right" "TWO HUNDRED & TWO" Here's a toast that I've been told General Louis B. Wilson presented at the Marine Corps Ball at Camp LeJeune along about 1978 or so: The love of a beautiful woman The love of a staunch young man The love of a newborn baby Has been here since time began. But the greatest of loves The quintessence of love Even greater than the love of a mother Is the boisterous, exuberant love of one drunk Marine for another! Semper Fidelis and HAPPY 236th!I'm a jumper. Even though I don't always have money for jumps, and may not ever own a rig again, I'll always be a jumper. TriGirl 319 #12 November 12, 2012 Quote Indeed. I attended the Navy/Marine Corps Birthday Ball in Chicago last night. I drove up to Istanbul on Saturday to be the guest speaker at that Marine Security Detachment's ball. Yeah, they were a little desperate It was that was a FIRST -- I'm usually a narrator or singer, so I actually had to come up with my own words for something interesting to say! In return I got a nice plaque that I will be honored to display in my office. Have another one to attend this Saturday, but this one is easy -- I'm back to narrating.
