kai2k1 0 #1 December 15, 2004 I dont want my suit to shrink since im getting fatter, so i was wondering if it is recommended to dry clean one? There's no truer sense of flying than sky diving," Scott Cowan
TALONSKY 0 #2 December 15, 2004 I have always washed my suits (Tony suits, Firefly, birdman) on cold and hung dried them. I have never had any shrink on me. Kirk

Unstable 9 #4 December 15, 2004 If you are going to Dryclean, FIND OUT WHAT KIND OF SOLEVANTS they are using. I have a Hawk Suite, which has a combination of Rubber, Leather, Spandex Stretchy stuff, Nylor, cordura, & Polycotton. Synthetic solevants will often times leave the Leather & rubber brittle and unmanageable. You usually have to go to the nasty old-school drycleaners to find the non-synthetic stuff.=========Shaun ==========
GravityGirl 0 #5 December 15, 2004 I recommend washing in Cold and Hanging dry. Dry Cleaning can use undesireable chemicals. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!

We have a couple dozen of them as a team jumpsuit / uniform, several different ways of cleaning them by several different people... The 'Cheer' on cold..permanent press / gentle... works best....hang dry. The suits look 'like new' Hot water / dryer ...dry cleaning...'Tide'... ~The suits cleaned by these methods, appear worn out and faded... ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~
plowdirt 0 #7 December 16, 2004 The dry cleanung solvant they use is called perk(slang) you can D/C but if it's white it will come out a lil yellow, and the dryer they use is actually a perc extractor, which sucks out the solvant and puts what ever's left of the perc back into a collector. nasty stuff. Anyway, just wash the jump suit, READ THE LABEL FIRST, and hang dry. hot water and the heat from the dryer is what causes the shrinking. If the D/C ruin your jump suit they will not pay for a new one, usually it's a % of the of the cleaning bill. I hated that business, such a dirty job. dorbie 0 #9 December 17, 2004 My tonysuit came with instructions to wash (on cold I think), the main concern seemed to be color fastnes/consistency between materials if you weren't careful. It should be fine to wash.
