skymama 37 #1 September 5, 2012 My parents are going to NYC this week to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. They are trying to figure out if the double decker tour buses and "the NY pass" are good deals. Anyone have any experience with either of these and have pros and cons on them? She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon

LuckyMcSwervy 0 #4 September 5, 2012 They do have roofed double decker ones that run around the city between the ferry landings, attractions, etc. I can't think of the name they are all over the place and you can catch any of their buses at a zillion different locations up/mid/down town. Never had a bad experience with any of them. Hope they have fun!Always be kinder than you feel.
kasch 0 #5 September 5, 2012 if you google it it will pop up right away. basically you can hop on/hop off anywhere along a route. different buses take different routes for different prices and go to different sites. there are ones that go for a couple hours all the way up to two days which also include shopping sprees. overkill for NYC if you ask me. you can pretty much hit all the turist stuff in a few hours hopping on and off the tour buses as they come.Sex with sith is like sex with a stripper. A lot of flashing lights and waving of glowing sabers, but in the end you end up with something dark and wrinkely. DPH# "-13" TSK# "-13"

I cant speak to the NYC ones but I have used the Red City Tour Buses in MANY cities around the world and each and every one of them has been worth the time and money. You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! skymama 37 #9 September 6, 2012 Thanks, you all, I think they've decided to use them. Mom just had minor surgery and she should probably not walk too much for a few days. My parents are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary and this is their first trip to NYC, so I'm just trying to help them have a good one. Thanks so much for your help! jrmrangers 0 #12 September 6, 2012 They are a great way to see the city. There's generally someone on the bus pointing out the sites as you cruise around. You can hop on and off at points that interest you and if the weathers good it's a nice drive around the city. One thing though, they aren't cheap!! I'm pretty sure the start over 50 bucks a person and go up as you chose to see more areas of the city. I live here so if they have any other questions feel free to PM me.Wait , I pull what first?
