normiss 851 #1 July 20, 2012 So Andrea is a lefty.... Can openers are downright maddening for lefties, so I'm trying to find her a good one. I had ordered a Kuhn Rikon but it's worse than a right handed one, you almost need a third hand to work it! Is the Monopol any better? Others? Do they make a left handed John Wayne? Or a FRED to the Newzies.
piisfish 140 #2 July 20, 2012 can opener ??? just throw the can into the fire and wait for proper cookoff time other wise (she is going to love me for that), doesn't she have a strong man who can take care of that kind of hard work ?? scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
skymama 37 #3 July 20, 2012 I love you. I can keep using the electric one and use you for my other needs. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon

npgraphicdesign 3 #8 July 20, 2012 I believe if you go into Craigslist, they have a section for that. Make sure you click the 'FforM' section though.
skydiver30960 0 #9 July 20, 2012 Options abound on Amazon for a search of "left hand can opener." Truth of the matter is I think you just wanted the brownie points... Elvisio "has she ever banned you from a forum?" Rodriguez
wolfriverjoe 1,523 #10 July 20, 2012 I'm a lefty (not politically) and my "lefty" can opener isn't anything like the fancy stuff you linked. It's simply a mirror image of a standard, manual, can opener. No clue where it came from. I've had it for years and I'm pretty sure it was a gift. https://www.leftyslefthanded.com/Left_Handed_Black_Handled_Can_Opener_p/579322.htm https://www.leftyslefthanded.com/Left_Handed_Old_Fashioned_Can_Opener_p/572156.htm Neither of these is exactly what I have, but they're pretty close. I don't know about the store, either, just the results of a quick search."There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." KCJumper 0 #11 July 20, 2012 I have a standard can opener from Pampered Chef and no troubles using it left handed. Never looked into getting a left handed can opener before.

mjosparky 4 #13 July 21, 2012 Get her one of these, they work with either hand. http://i397.photobucket.com/albums/pp55/mjosparky/300px-P-38_Can_Opener.jpg Left handed people grow up in a right handed world and most are ambidextrous. Being left handed I find it easier to use right handed things. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
