The Free Fall Dream Survey - please help

Recommended Posts

since I started skydiving I have never had a dream that I was falling.
Maybe facing an subconsious fear head on cured me of a possible phobia?

FYI: This only took about 2 minutes.

More like 30 seconds :-P
Sex with sith is like sex with a stripper. A lot of flashing lights and waving of glowing sabers, but in the end you end up with something dark and wrinkely.

...but I am curious what the survey is for...

...my guess would be a fishing expedition for email addies. :)
I doubt it. My company looked into using survey monkey for its customers and from what I heard it was an expensive application. Think this survey is legit.

Thanks again to all of you who participated so far. I would love some more replies from USA though...

If you are in doubt of the survey being "legit", please see my research page at www.targit.com/research to familiarize yourself with some of my other research.

I would, however, rather not explain my hypothesis behind these questions in particular, in order to prevent respondents from being biased. But feel free to say “yes” to receive results once the survey is done. I guarantee that I am not using your email for anything other than to keep your replies unique, and only if you answered “yes” to see results will you get an email back from me.

Again, thanks so much for your help! Blue Skies!
:)

Interesting. Just the opposite with me. I never dreamt I was in freefall until I started skydiving. The dreams are fun freefall dreams not scary ones.

Dearest skydiver/participant,

During the period May 7th to 20th some of you participated in the survey to uncover the changes that skydiving does to us humans. The study already revealed some very interesting findings, in the sense that the larger the number of skydives, the more likely we are to have a change to the “classical” falling dream: we fall and wake up just before hitting the ground.

The findings in this survey are important since the dream about falling is not based on experience –no one fell and died (in this life at least, depending on belief). In other words, the dream about falling was in our brains from birth. The study tells us that a number of factual examples (skydive = falling and surviving) can change our thinking, even the thinking that is pre-programmed(!) As such, it opens up a host of possibilities for “curing” the fears that we learned in our life. Simply put, if we can change the pre-programming of the brain with facts, anything learned in (this) life can surely be changed too.

In actual numbers, people with 2000+ skydives have observed this change in 70% of the sample group. (See attached image.)

In the coming months, I will be working with scientists in the dept. of psychology at University of South Florida, USF, to determine the feasibility of conducting more applied research in the field. If you are interested, please feel free to follow me on twitter: www.twitter.com/dr_morton where I will keep you updated on the progress. (Alternatively, but not as elaborately updated, please feel free to connect with me on either Facebook or LinkedIn.)

Thanks so much for taking the time to participate and share your experiences with me!

Blue skies, and stay safe!
Morton ;-)
