Nataly 38 #1 June 11, 2012 Does anyone know anything about Gravity Sports Skydiving Center in Crowley, Louisiana? tjm 0 #2 June 11, 2012 I'm from Louisiana (I now live in Texas), and that DZ has been shut down for 1.5 to 2 years, now. If your in Lake Charles, Groundrush Skydiving is in Kountze, Tx, they are not open every weekend. Or come to Houston, the skydiving is good over here. Skydiving in West and Southern Lousiana has been dead for a few years now. The last year I was there, I primarily only made demo jumps. If you're not living on the edge; you're taking up too much room!

Your best bet for a good vibes DZ is probably Gold Coast Skydivers in Lumberton, MS. Straight up the interstate from NOLA/Slidell. I don't know how far that is from Lake Charles though."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
Nataly 38 #4 June 11, 2012 Eeek... Google says 4.5 hours between the two... And that's not even counting my legendary navigational skillz!!! I just looked at the map, and wow, Lake Charles is way the fuck over near the TX state line. Maybe the DZs around Houston would be better? loch1957 0 #6 June 12, 2012 Not sure how far it is but Sky dive experience is in Vivian just north of Shreveport. Great people but only open on saturdays.Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”

Nat, you're moving to Louisiana AND getting current!!??! Anyway, I've heard good things about Gold Coast, but understand why a 4+ hour drive wouldn't be attractive. I'm having troubles with a 2ish hour drive to a DZ.

wayneflorida 0 #10 June 12, 2012 I hate to say this but you should forget jumping. Instead wrestle gators, eat bugs, and dance to Creole.Swamp People.
faulk04 0 #11 June 12, 2012 3 DZ's in Louisiana, Skydive Nawlins which is in slidell- really only do tandems there- East of Lake Charles- over 3 hours away The skydive experience- in vivian, la north of lake charles- around 3 hours- Saturdays only Skydive Louisiana- Gilliam, La north of lake charles- around 3 hours (Saturdays and Sundays) Or you could also go to Spaceland in Tx- West of lake charles- around 3 hours- I jump at skydive louisiana so I would recommend coming here to jump.
