J_Cook 0 #5 May 10, 2011 Huge fan of the books, I read all four in the few weeks before the TV show premiere. I'm a little disappointed in how much information they have drop to be able to get the entire story in 10 episodes. My biggest complaint is how they portray the Drogo/Dany relationship, very different from what's in the book. If you only read one book this year, read A Game of Thrones. You won't be disappointed. tharv17 0 #7 May 10, 2011 Watching it and enjoying it. Have read the books quite a few times. Next one comes out in July I believe. Should be awesome
rnicks 0 #8 May 10, 2011 I was worried going into it because shows and movies are never as good as the book. However, I have not been disappointed. This show rocks!! Slight differences from the book, but it actually follows it pretty closely. I highly recommend this show!
shropshire 0 #9 June 22, 2011 I can't believe that the series is over so soonand we have to wait so long for the 2nd But the books are good and brilliant cast selection. (.)Y(.) Zep 0 #10 June 22, 2011 Hi, I've watched all the first series, To tell the truth I found it to slow, the intro is way to long. The general theme is great but the script writers should be put out to stud. If the second series dosen't quicken the pace then I shant bother watching it. oldwomanc6 60 #11 June 22, 2011 I haven't seen the HBO adaptation, but I'm about a third of the way through the first book. I'm really enjoying it, and have a feeling that by the end, I will be glad that there are more books in the series lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB

futuredivot 0 #13 June 22, 2011 I avoided the books because I didn't want to get involved in a length series until I knew it was completed and then it just never got to the top of my list. Caught an episode one night in a hotel(Free HBO-you have to pay for porn You are only as strong as the prey you devour

Rick 67 #15 June 22, 2011 Quote I can't believe that the series is over so soonand we have to wait so long for the 2nd reply] I love the series but HBO always does this. They get you hooked on a series then we have to wait a frickin year for the next season. My wife and i loved Deadwood and then between seasons they just decided to not make any more episodes You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early! jrmrangers 0 #16 June 22, 2011 Another show that HBO hits the mark with!! i was hooked from the first episode. Youre right though it kills me having to wait so long for the next season!!!Wait , I pull what first?
meloo09 0 #17 June 23, 2011 The fifth book in the series is supposed to be out the 12th of next month. At least according to the authors website. I'm soooo ready. I thought HBO did a great job, the books are extremely lengthy so I'm impressed that they got as much as they into the shows. What you do speaks so loud, I cannot hear what you say. tharv17 0 #22 June 27, 2011 Its been a funny thing for me. I read the books in college and have re-read them a number of times. My roomates back in college would give me all sorts of flak for reading "those dragon books." Now they have all started them and are watching the show. Also see a lot of people on the train reading the series. Vindication.
AndyBoyd 0 #23 June 27, 2011 I thought it was one of the best tv shows I've ever seen. The last scene of he last episode was mindblowing. I hadn't read the book, and didn't see that coming.
Niki1 1 #24 June 28, 2011 This is the best thing since "Rome". A lot of characters to keep up with but really interesting characters. I also really like "Treme". And Goddamn it. Ned Stark gets killed one week and Harly gets killed tha next week. Most of the things worth doing in the world had been declared impossilbe before they were done. micduran 0 #25 June 28, 2011 As expected the books are WAY better than the show. The books follow the story line and the majority of the dialogue is word for word. And they go so much more into the characters, scenery, etc. I woke up at 3:00 this morning and ended up reading until 5:00. Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.
