pchapman 279 #81 June 8, 2012 Quote I tried to re-watch Macgyver (goofy), Moonlighting (slow), and V (too cheesy), and Miami Vice via Netflix. . The re-watching is the interesting part, to see whether one liked a show only because one was young and immature, or it was the first show of the kind one had seen, or whether it really had some good qualities. I just started re-watching a bit of WRKP in Cincinnati, and so far it is surprisingly good, with views on social issues that aren't so dated that they would make one cringe. PLFKING 4 #82 June 8, 2012 Quote Saturday Night Live with Dennis Miller, Mike Meyers, and Dana Carvey Saturday Night with Ackroyd, Belushi, Chase and Murray, and Land of Gorch. We would end dates early just to get over to my bud's house and watch that show. Sneak outside at every commercial and light 'em up, then come back in and laugh our asses off. My favorite SNL moment.....John Belushi singing 'I'm a King Bee' with 'Howard Shore and his All - Bee Band.' Don"When in doubt I whip it out, I got me a rock-and-roll band. It's a free-for-all." tkhayes 348 #85 June 8, 2012 I did not have a TV until I was 7. And only because my Dad won a 15" B&W TV at a raffle at a local car dealer. Flipper, Disney, Lucy, Ripcord, Ed Sullivan, and whatever we got on the only 2 channels we could get with an antenna

My Dad put a bar on the antenna pole near the bottom so we could turn it. Turn it this way for Channel 8, turn it that way for Channel 13. My reality and yours are quite different. Do you remember watching Arch Deal on both of those channels before he bounced? I think Channel 8 really tried to pressure him to quit jumping after that. Skydiving won, of course. Besides turning the antenna, my job was handing tubes to my dad and telling him how the picture looked while he adjusted the set.

I had enough trouble keeping up with my own ...logging jumps on scraps of paper and burger wrappers and such for updating "later". I did a couple of jumps with him a few years ago.
