got'em!!! time for the tests!

Recommended Posts

Got my 20th repack done this weekend and I'm stoked!!! Giving myself three weeks to memorize the FARs :D:D:D and then take the written test.

I asked around and read all over and couldn't find an answer to this question -
After you take the written test - is there a time frame in which you must take the practical and oral? 90 days? 120 days? 1 year? 5 years?

It would be crazy to wait that long as you'd forget anything, but I find it hard to believe the gubment didn't put a max time limit on this.

I assumed 2 years based on the fact of them being the same for the other FAA tests I have taken, and sure enough:

"Airman Knowledge Test Reports are valid for the 24-calendar month period preceding the month you
complete the practical test. If the Airman Knowledge Test Report expires before completion of the
practical test, you must retake the knowledge test."
