How do you forgive yourself?

Did you forgive yourself for smacking yourself into the ground awhile back?

No

Maybe if you weren't so preoccupied about how miserable your life is, it might not be so miserable ;)

Stop the incessant bitching and do something about it.

I thought he already was. Hating engineers seems to be his coping mechanism. Sadly, he participates in a very engineer-friendly sport. It is the largest main occupation of U.S. registered skydivers, comprising over 10% of the population.

Without having a clue what your "mistake" was, it's hard to give an opinion.

Your job now is clear. It is to practice the answer. It is not to beat yourself up over your mistake. We all make them, that is how we learn.

Go find a hooker with a heroin problem and get yourself laid once a week. And for God sake use a condom, we don't need you coming back with anything new to bitch about.

I don't know we won that one as I recall?

I haven't had a vacation in about 4 years.

I think that will do me some good.

Please don't make it next week.:|

Nah maybe early in the summer. go visit my close friends in Europe.
Maybe some good food, good beer and cute European girls will help put things in prespective.

And I think that's what I'm lacking to deal with this problem. Prespective that there is more to the world than just this.

But every one thank you. I appreciate much of your advice.

Who's fault is that?? .... regular holidasy are necessary to chillax and recharge your batteries

Again my fault.
100% my fault.
Two years studying for my MBA
And before that due to buying a condo and spending money on fixing the thing up I had enough money for the x to go on vacation to see her parents. I stayed home and worked on the condo so she would come back to another completed project.
Thus yes 100% my fault.
I should have been more greedy and focused on myself more.
Be it going on vacation to buying myself a new motorcycle.
100% my fault.

But again thank you guys and gals, I think I may have a better idea as to how to forgive myself and being recovering.

It doesn't have to cost - stay home, read a book just get away from you work place - it's important!!

Just to throw my hat into the ring.

If the issues is with you dealing with the outcome of certain events, going on vacation will be a temporary relief, but unless you make yourself right with you, it will eventually follow you back.

Forgiving yourself, and accepting outcomes is the only way to truly heal. But it is often the most difficult.

Good luck

Why, It's funny...

"I can't forgive myself, it's 100% my fault...she's such a fuckin' bitch.":D

It's basically the same thing as an insincere apology - "I'm sorry...I'm sorry you're such an idiot."

It's similar to the same technique used when an employer a in a job interview asks what are your weaknesses, and you respond with some bullshit about how you're such a perfectionist.:D

In addition to that, he uses what's supposed to be a humbling experience as a platform to boast about himself...good stuff.

Visit the red light district in Amsterdam while you're out there too. Don't forget the condoms too. :)
