Why would anyone bungee-jump off a perfectly good bridge?

to see skydivers, of all people, knocking it because of one incident, from a position of ignorance, is rather ironic...

I think you read too much into it; people here are just having fun with it. That's why it's in Bonfire, right next to the boobies.

Crocs do inhabit that river, but no where near there. They stay away from rapids, and don't care for fast-moving water.

Whenever I was in Oz, people told me that crocs especially love calm water - easier for them to approach their prey without being spotted and/or disturbed.

When I was in Belize I watched Mennonite boys jumping into a crocodile infested waters on a home-made diving board.

Muhahahahaha. :D:D:D Gives a whole new aspect to the term "Rumspringa" :)

My one and only bungee jump was from a crane over the not-too-picturesque scenery of a Chelsea car park. The only crocs within miles would have been safely incarcerated at London Zoo. It was plenty intense without the threat of being consumed by local wildlife, anyway.

Of course, people said that a bungee jump should be nothing to a skydiver. I beg to differ, but I don't think I'd do be in a hurry to do it again.
