iPhone Help

Anyone have experience backing up an iPhone (I have an iPhone 4) and then activating a new iPhone? I shattered my screen and got my replacement in the mail today. I did the backup on iTunes and it seemed so simple I'm wondering whats going to happen when I plug the replacement in. Is it that simple? Do I just plug it in and it downloads everything I've backed up?

Tack

Yup, just restore from your most recent backup and once it's done, your phone is exactly the way the old one was. :)

(take that Droid :P)

I just replaced the screen on my kids i-pod touch. I wonder whether it is the same as the i-phone? Only cost $8!

The new iPhone was shipped iOS 4 while the old one was backed up with iOS 5 so it wasn't compatible to restore from my old phone....so I is angwy!

So, set it up as a new phone, update it, wipe it, then restore from last save on the old phone.

It's not that difficult.
