kelpdiver 2 #52 December 8, 2011 QuoteBook. A nook or kindle with a dead battery is just a paperweight. A book without a battery is still a book. I can't carry 50 books with me on vacation. And that battery outlasts even my long vacations. In the past, the worst bit about long foreign travel is that by the end of the trip, I've read all the English materials I have, and the airport bookstore selection in, say Taipei, isn't very good. But so long as I got a wireless connection, I can have 2 or 3 new books in 60 seconds, perfect for the 12+ hour flight.

Vacations are for seeing and doing things, not sitting around reading 50 books.

Twice whilst on my world trip in 09 i spent 2 weeks sitting and reading books and nothing else. Some folks need to relocate themselves from their daily distractions in order to sit still long enough to read. You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! NewGuy2005 53 #55 December 10, 2011 I got a Kindle a few months ago and now I far prefer it over regular books. Seriously, it's some of the best money I'ver ever spent. The print resolution on the black & white is much better and easier on the eye than the color.
