councilman24 37 #4 January 30, 2005 If anything the tempo may be a little smaller. Due to the differences in measuring canopy area and differences in construction. I would expect that if the PD 113 goes in ok the tempo will. But be aware that any individucal canopy can vary in volume by +/- 10 %. So if the PD is very tight, you won't know if the tempo fits until trying it,I'm old for my age. Terry Urban D-8631 FAA DPRE
mjosparky 4 #5 January 31, 2005 The PD-113R is 286 cu. in. and the Tempo 120 is 267 cu. in. But like Terry said, this can vary by about 10% on any given day. SparkyMy idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
riggerrob 643 #6 January 31, 2005 Tempo 120 (and Raven 120) reserves always packed smaller/easier than PD113 reserves/
billvon 2,998 #7 January 31, 2005 Tempo does indeed pack up very slightly smaller. It should be noted that via the PIA method of measuring canopy area (i.e. Sandy Reid's study) the PD113 is 123 sq ft and the Tempo 120 is 120 sq ft - so the PD is actually slightly larger in area (and pack volume.) beezyshaw 0 #8 January 31, 2005 I also believe that the spanwise tapes that PD uses in their reserve construction add some of that slight extra pack volume compared to some other canopies.
