Rented a car instead for $40

LAX is ridiculous. It costs $7 just to get in a cab there, and then you get to pay the guy to crawl through traffic to get out of the airport. So the meter is anywhere from 10-14 bucks by the time you're off the airport property.

There's a small Hertz location not too far from my place, heck it might be cheaper for me to rent a car to drive home.

Have you ever driven in LA? Depending on the time of day, it might be worth $22 just to not have to deal with the frustration of sitting behind the wheel.

Yep. Had to go through LAX to Palm Springs once. I missed the last flight out that night. It would have taken around 15 hours and a hotel overnighter. Ended up renting and driving - was there for breakfast

That's what I was thinking. Plus, with the price of gas on top of the rental (unless it's included?), it's not going to cost much less than $62 anyway.

I love L.A., but I tend to avoid going there because of the traffic.
