TrojanHorse 0 #51 March 12, 2005 QuoteI've sometimes wondered, and I'm sure there is a good reason for not having a mode such as… Hi Nate, The Argus will have altitude adjustment features, by which you can adjust your activation altitude to, let’s say, 1050 feet instead of the standard 885 feet. This will have no influence on the speed of 78mph. (BTW, these features can also be found in other modern day aads.) I do however strongly recommend asking for advice first to your DZ staff before doing so and if yes how to do it correctly (It is tricky, especially in the beginning, and I’ve seen even very experienced skydivers screwing up. However, amongst them were no missile technicians…) I wish you many more great jumps in sunny San Diego. Blue skies, William
redknight 0 #52 May 2, 2005 Hi Karel, Visited your website: http://www.argus-aad.com/ Updated, May, 1st, 2005, as you promised before. Has Wim Kauffmann ondergone a face-lift ??? I don't really know (?!?) who's picture it is but be sure I know it is "NOT" "WIM" Secondly I also know he (the real WIM) has a lot of experience and he is involved in military "SPORT" envirement. I agree for that and it is completely correct. But, .......He is certainly NOT actively involved in the military operational free-fall, VHA (HAHO, HALO) , HA, etc.... "Evangeliasation" of the military is certainly NOT his business. Sorry, but your information is NOT correct

kermietje 0 #57 May 11, 2005 It is I on the picture, mister. I did not undergo a facelift, so thanks for the compliment. AND I did indeed do HAHO and HALO jumps, also in tandem, and lots of HA, even better, I levelled it up during the tree years I was Ops & training officer in the parachute trainingschool in Schaffen. And even aftherwards I stayed , what we call, "current". So , in the future, if you do not agree with any comments about a person on whatever site, contact the person himselve before going "public" on a forum like this. Greetz ps: how many jumps do you have...Lets fly, thats what it is about no...

PhreeZone 20 #59 May 13, 2005 I've considered it in a second Birdman specific rig, but have decided to wait till they get some more info availible on the reliability and some test results. Being a test dummy is something we do everytime we when we try a new way to pack or new jumpsuits... but this is to a much higher level.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
