Krip 2 #15 July 12, 2011 Hi Guy's/ Nice Lady Please stay on topic. Or the next time Amazon see's you she might pick you up again and again. Don't sweat this Jeann chick never met her , I've heard rumors about a very strong tall Amazon lady. Wuffo some of you skydivers have two namesI'm old, confused can't spell etc. I wonder if Shah would like to get picked up by his dream girl Jeanne and then tell her no please no when his feet are two feet off the ground and his head feels it's going to pop of his neck,I can not tell a lie. Man this is a tough sport, at least with two tough women A&J. Where are all the tough men One Jump Wonder

nigel99 572 #17 September 15, 2011 Quote So many many friends I agree. I miss a number of posters who I never met but who made a lasting impression. I don't know if it is a good or bad thing but most were not skydiving related deaths - it doesn't change the fact that they are missed Since getting back into the sport 3 of my new friends have passed on.Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived. skydiver30960 0 #18 September 15, 2011 Honor their memories: remember all the good times. Forget about the asshat stuff. Always remember the lessons their passing has taught us. Each fatality may teach us something different, whether their death happened in the sport or not. If we forget those lessons, we cheapen their death and risk repeating it ourselves. airtwardo 7 #19 September 15, 2011 Quote So many many friends It's a tough sport to be a part of which makes the participants somewhat of an exclusive & tight knit 'family'... seems to hit hard when we lose a member, and like you 'Zon I've lost way too many. Every day on this rock is a gift, the people in your life help you enjoy that gift...cherish every moment you have with the people close to you, there is nothing more important than family. ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~
cocheese 0 #20 September 15, 2011 Look at it this way. If we or they didn't jump, we would have never known them. It's better to know a great person who eventually dies, than to never know them at all. We are blessed to know so many cool people. Everyone dies. But we got to know the cool ones. Take what you learned from them and spread the love they gave to you.
JohnMitchell 16 #21 September 15, 2011 The sad fact is that so many of the ghosts in my log book don't need to be there. Too many people die in our sport out of ignorance, complacency and carelessness. Most of these deaths were avoidable. It's to that end that I work so hard.
normiss 858 #22 September 15, 2011 Then add the real world stupidities. Car crashes, motorcycle wrecks, murder, suicide, getting ran over on bicycles and roller skates....death clearly doesn't pull favorites.
shah269 0 #23 September 15, 2011 Maybe it's not all bad? Maybe death is the way we wake up from the dream that we are living in. I know that's kind of deep but.....maybe.Life through good thoughts, good words, and good deeds is necessary to ensure happiness and to keep chaos at bay. Not deep buddy, it's just wishful thinking...we all have precious little time to be alive and smell the roses, then it's over. Worm food bro, nothing more. Might wanna think about gettin' behind that idea because there is no 2nd act, no do-overs. No jelly donuts in the 'next life' to be hopeful for, ya gotta try to to it all and do it right THIS time through, we won't be back this way again. ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~
OlympiaStoica 0 #25 September 15, 2011 What makes it even more “tough” for me is the expectation (perceived or otherwise) that we should “tough it up” and accept that that’s the way it is. Yeah, we supposed to be tough, know and accept the risk, blah-blah-blah … we are skydivers, but we’re also human ...
