I pipe my http and https requests from my desktop to proxy through localhost:9898 localhost:9898 gets piped through an SSH tunnel to a squid proxy on my server at home I can surf all day and it looks like regular SSH traffic (port 22) to the network dorks since I use SSH to connect to more than one hundred fifty servers that I maintain. I set this up in about 3 minutes after one of the Wintel geeks told me there was NO WAY anyone could get around the shiny new bluecoat proxy that everyone else if forced to use :) 5 years and they haven't figured it out yet. happythoughts 0 #56 October 4, 2010 When I was working for a large telecom company, they would block spam-emails by content. If there was something suspicious in the subject line, it was rejected. So, when I distributed a lot of high-level designs, none got through with the word "document" in the subject. It isn't always the site, sometimes it is the links on it. Since this is an Army policy, AKO will not be able to grant exceptions. normiss 848 #63 October 5, 2010 We have sticky mac applied to the Sunstation network ports, not the pc ports. Gives us the ability to move laptops around for meetings, group collaboration, etc. Sunstations stay where they are put! ALL management networks and IP's are private IP space and firewall policies limit where you can get to certain subnets on top of that. WAN addressed devices are external SSH and authenticated via TACACS with access timeouts.
