Snowwhite 0 #2 August 30, 2010 hey would you do us a favor and write up all of the pertinent information for the incidents forum and give it to someone at your dz? You know, number of jumps, container, reserve, altitude of deployment. Things that the dzo will have to have to know to fill out that report quickly. I really appreciate it when people do that for me. Oh, and hey! Have a great time!skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

After what I've seen this summer, I think maybe all of us should do that.Night swooping? I've seen it done by some very good jumpers. The experienced swoopers did a better job swooping at night than some of the less experienced swoopers I've watched (and done first aid on) did in broad daylight. I'm just sayin'. Iceburner 0 #6 August 30, 2010 just got back from the dz this weekend and saw a couple amazing night swoops...that being said they were very experienced...if you can't swoop extreemly well during the day, dont attempt at night...should be common sense. DrewEckhardt 0 #13 September 1, 2010 Quotefriggin rocks. That is all. Absolutely! OTOH, I couldn't recommend it after being one of two people who made it back to the DZ on a night jump from a full King Air (winds get wacky) before the moon came up with a 1.7 wing loading with density altitude past 5000 feet (like over a size smaller at sea level) which would have sucked to land in an unlit farmers field. Hey, I remember that jump! Winds were pretty whacky, but I remember landing south of the treeline and having to jump over the water canal to get back. lol. That was our second night jump that night, IIRC. I had just gotten 50 jumps and my B license, and jumps 51 and 52 were those night jumps.Trapped on the surface of a sphere.
