NickDG 23 #906 June 27, 2010 It's about 1400 miles to Sturgis from El Capone! Are you riding or trailering? (Running and ducking.) BTW, I always heard running a belt inside a closed primary wasn't a good idea as the heat destroys the belt. Has your belt been in there a long time? skyrider 0 #908 June 27, 2010 As for the trip, we are taking 3 knuckleheads, on a limited amount of time, So we are pussing out and trailoring, something I used to laugh at others for doing! We mighty drop the trailor in colorado though, and ride from there!
NickDG 23 #909 June 27, 2010 That's cool. When you're twenty years old those trips are cool, but when you're old like we are it's not all that exciting. I was in a thread on a Harley forum recently where someone asked, "What's the best thing to take on long cross country trips?" My answer: An airplane! NickDG 23 #913 June 28, 2010 The hearing for the California Senate Bill that would mandate stock pipes on all bikes built after 2011 is available live as an audio-cast. Nina is registered as a 2010, but if this passes it won't be long before they come for the rest of us. And, Gypsy, this means you knucklehead! http://192.234.214.75/ASM-4202 It's supposed to start at 1:30 PST, but I haven't heard anything yet. Guess the poly-law-tards are running late . . . NickDG 23 #916 June 28, 2010 What you're hearing now is a different bill, we're coming up in a bit . . . I guess what they are voting on right now is does California state vehicle code trump local municipal codes. Probably good if it passes as in our case we could wind up with pipes that are legal in one town but not in a neighboring one . . . NickD
