catfishhunter 2 #1 May 31, 2011 So my wife hasn't been in the open ocean since she was 15.the Dramamine worked so well going out to the blue hole I was able to talk her into going fishing yesterday. She kicked ass (mine) and even caught 5' nurse shark on 15lb test! Can't attach a file from my iPhone for some reason :( I'm really sad we didn't make it to a Boogie in Belize after being her for a week :( MAKE EVERY DAY COUNT Life is Short and we never know how long we are going to have. Phillbo 11 #3 May 31, 2011 If she has an issue with sea sickness have her try the Sea Bands next time. My GF used them on a recent 2 week sailing trip to the BVI and they worked amazingly well... plus no drowsy side effects .

Sea band do not work on everyone, and if you are one who suffers violent seasickness i would not recommend them. I worked as a DM for a few years, and tried them a couple of times, they did not work and once you are out there and sick, nothing makes it better but terra firma. Ex NAVY and worked in the Dive industry, but i get DEATHLY ill if i dont take anti sea sickness pillsYou are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! wightout 0 #5 June 1, 2011 I just took the non-drowsy dramamine and toughed it out! For the fishing, we were inside the reef, and I did okay. When we went to the blue hole, there were parts of that day that were rough, but I managed. I just didn't want to miss any of those experiences, and I didn't! It was great!!!To borrow a line from Squeak...MY LIFE ROCKS!! HOW'S YOURS??!!!

oldwomanc6 60 #9 June 2, 2011 Sounds fun! Does she have a name? Your wife, not the shark. It's cool that you're bragging on her, but we (I) would like to know her name. If you were posting something negative, then no names are necessary lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB

catfishhunter 2 #11 June 2, 2011 Her name is Lora. She post on here. Here she is with the Jack Cravelle she caught and the Shark. I didn't get a real good picture. I have better video of it. And in case anyone actually thinks we clubbed it to death, no it never left the water before we cut it loose. Now all the other fish that we caught was eaten if not by us then by the captain for sure. He was 70 something years old and has been fishing those waters since he was born. Great guy and if anyone goes to Belize and wants to fish his name is Captain Abdel. He only has one boat and only takes enough work on to pay his bills in do what he loves MAKE EVERY DAY COUNT Life is Short and we never know how long we are going to have.
