JerseyShawn 0 #55 May 22, 2011 I always listen to old school feel good skate punk on the way to and fro the DZ. Puts me in good spirits and it makes me feel like a kid again. MikeJD 0 #56 May 23, 2011 I think the songs that work best on videos are the ones where the lyrics don't relate to skydiving at all - if it's too literal it just ends up sounding corny. I'd just choose a track with the right kind of energy. Having said that, there's 'Powder Blue' by Elbow which, although I think it's actually about drug addiction, has a chorus that works spookily well... Bring that minute back We never get so close as when the sunward flight begins I share it all with you Powder blue Bring that minute back We never get so close to death Makes you so alive I share it all with you Powder blue It's a very low-tempo (but beautiful!) song, though. The tracks that still raise goosebumps for me are the ones Patrick Passe used on his early 'Travelling' skydiving vids - because they were out when I first started to jump. As well as the inevitable Tom Petty, there was lots of INXS on there, including 'Suicide Blonde', 'Not Enough Time' and 'The Stairs'.

Stem13 0 #59 May 23, 2011 I sing songs in my head on the way to altitude and was mainly using "Sweet Desposition" (by Temper Trap) just because it is a really calming song that reminded me of good times with my friends. This past weekend I changed that to "We Party" by Andrew WK and it kept me more relaxed than ever. Just another reason to love AWK even more (also his songs would be awesome for most videos)some sort of crazy liquor cheeseburger party
