First you find the people responsible and where they are. If the nation / state that is harboring them doesn't turn them over then you start taking them out until they do. This sounds like the work of our friend Osama bin Laden who is a Saudi, but hides out in various countries unfriendly to the U.S. He has called on all muslims that believe in god to kill Americans and take our money at every opportunity. It's time to put this dog and anybody that helps him down. Of course he might not be responsible but you could apply this to any group.

I was in the Pentagon when the plane crash occurred ( I work there). I felt the building shudder, and I assumed that a large military aircraft had passed over (not unusual). It was then that someone pointed out the huge plume of black smoke coming from another part of the building.
The evacuation was orderly. Reports are that some people are still trapped inside. Let's keep them in our thoughts.

Both towers are gone, another plane crashed into the pentagon, and reports of a plane down in PA (Possibly the one heading for the capitol building) reports of yet another crashing into Camp David. I doubt it's a coincidence, but Sept 11 (today) is the anniversary of the Camp David accords

Exactly. Let's say Timothy McVeigh had blown up a building in Rome, Italy or something instead of OK City. How would we feel if the Italians came after our entire country (or all Americans, or whatever) as a response? As natural as that feeling might be.... And I just said Italians for arguments' sake, don't mean to provoke any Italian jokes or anything.
I am still waiting for news from a bunch of friends in NYC. From where I just moved 2 months ago up to Boston. Not much fun, and I can't fucking get through to anyone on the phone. Let's all keep a clear head and pray if you're religious for everyone who was in those buildings and their friends & family.

Besides my thoughts and prayers being with the families of all of the innocent people who have been killed, I am also concerned about our friends on these forums who are in the military. I'm sure you guys are on alert, and it is probably a breech of security for you to tell us anything. So, I just want to let you all know that I'm thinking of you and praying that you all will be safe in whatever actions our country has to take.

If McVeigh did this in Italy we would gladly hand him over. And as for religion it is part of the problem it's called "Jihad" or holy war.
When we find out who did this we have to make them pay such a large price that it deters others from doing the same. If we don't this type of thing is going to continue.

I saw footage of some sick fucks in Palestine partying in the street over the news, while they are still claiming they had nothing to do with it. I can't imagine celebrating the death of thousands of innocent people, even if you don't like their government.

marc, i'm sorry all i heard at first was a plane crashed but didn't injur anyone in the building, sorry for the confusion. i by no means meant to be insensitive and hadn't realized the grandness of this tragedy until after i had posted... like i said, i sincerely apologize to anyone and everyone affected. my best friend lives on 46th st and works in downtown manhatten, and i can't get ahold of her or any of her family to find out if she's ok. i can't keep up with the news, can't even get cnn.com to load or anything.

Nothing about Pakistan. I'm sure every terrorist group is claiming responsibility, though. It may take a few days to sort out the red herrings. I doubt that whoever did this is a new or unknown group, though. How resourceful do you have to be to hijack ONE airliner, and find someone who is not only qualified to fly it into a (relatively) precise target, but who is ALSO willing to die for you? Now consider that they not only hijacked FOUR airliners, but they managed to hijack four that would be in the air and able to strike their targets within an hour of each other (except the fourth that was probably shot down in PA). The only groups with the organization and financing to do this are going to be well-known to world counterterrorism specialists.

The people who do this thing are the extreme minority of Muslims who by rights shouldn't even be called Muslims; Islam is a religion of a loving God and preaches respect for all others. The best response to this is going to be bringing the responsible parties to trial. I still can't believe the shit I'm seeing on TV.. I am in Denver right now, and was scheduled to fly to New York at 10:30 Mountain time(12:30 Eastern).. I got up at 8:00 Mountain, and saw all this on the news.. The recent reports I have seen on MSNBC is that 4 planes - 2 American Airlines and 2 United Airlines - are confirmed to have crashed, and United is still missing a plane..
Another report stated that thousands of Palestinians are celebrating this attack, even though Yasser Arafat has denounced this act of terrorism.. The people responsible for this must die - plain and simple..
As a pilot, it is very obvious to me that the crashes into the WTC buildings were intentional.. There is no way that they were accidents.. I believe that either the pilots had been killed by that point, or they were fighting over the controls with hijackers.. I feel the first is the most likely - as the second airplane that hit the WTC(the one on video), which appears to be a B-737, was moving very fast and appeared to be in total control..
