JohnnyMarko 1 #1 April 12, 2011 [rant] Anyone else love this show??? I do, for one reason only. I take about 10 minutes of my day to tune in, watch with my jaw on the floor, turn it off, and I feel 1000000x better about myself and my life and that I'm not like those fudged up families. [rant?] 10 minutes? All I need to do is watch the commercial and I begin to feel a little sick. Feel better about myself, maybe, concerned for society as a whole, definitely. JohnnyMarko 1 #3 April 12, 2011 So true. Here's my question....is my generation at fault (us youngsters 18-30ish) for loving all this reality TV shit, or is it the baby boomers (the ones possibly owning the companies supporting all this crap)? I could be wrong about which generation owns these companies and funds all this crap TV..

I think there's plenty of blame to go around both generations PS: if you REALLY want to feel good about yourself, try watching "Hoarding: Buried Alive" Remster

Not so much to make me feel better about myself, but I'm always interested in the human psyche, they've got real issues (some will dispute that)

mfrese 0 #7 April 12, 2011 I can't stand most of the reality crap on TV, and I'm 54. I wish to hell I'd come up with the idea, though... When I say "most", there are exceptions...I find myself constantly drawn to "Deadliest Catch", and then they went and put on the best of the lot so far: "Sons of Guns". Every episode is kind of like watching a weather day at the DZ...and they remind me of all my distant relatives down in Louisiana. Plus, my favorite TV quote from the last 5 years: "It's TWICE as cool as an M-16, 'cause they's TWO of 'em!" JohnMitchell 16 #9 April 13, 2011 those shows are cheap to produce and they sell like hell. As long as they make money with 'em, they'll keep churning them out. I like son of a gun alright. We're hooked on Pawn Stars.

No added drama, and they actually build really top notch stuff. They are very well respected in that segment of the shooting world. The only other shows besides that that I watch regularly are Flying Wild Alaska, and the UK Top Gear. If I watched "real" housewives, I'd want to shoot someone. ManagingPrime 0 #12 April 13, 2011 Kind of find it hard to watch any tv anymore... Heaven forbid it's satellite and I end up spending the whole time clicking through channels. However, and I know I'm not the first person to say this, a "real world"/"road rules" of DZ's would be effing awesome. Imagine all the drama. I'm really surprised that the idea has not been shoped to networks yet.
