I have never seen evidence of you being circumspect so i doubt that you ever have "qualms" about how you deal with things Well, I actually do. You may not have noticed, but I rarely ban people for behavior against me that I would instantly ban them for if they perpetrated it against others. I do have qualms about how that would be seen if I swung a ban bat at every commenter that took a written swing at me. Earlier in this thread somebody said they thought this thread would be locked and hidden away to "hide" whatever indiscretion they thought they had caught me in. That's unsupported hogwash. I simply do not do that; ever. I will admit that I do occasionally make mistakes and hit "post" rather than "preview" and then have to go back and make corrections in my own work or (as I JUST did with Aggie Dave's post above), hit "edit" rather than "quote" (an option and therefore a mistake none of you can make) and then have to back out of that. I've explained this in other threads as well. Everybody, -EVERYBODY-, makes an occasional post that isn't perfect. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Go for it. Not enough "tact" for you personal feelings? Meh. You should see what I have to deal with.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

There are a couple of posters that have taken their disagreements with me in SC and expanded that to riding my ass about practically every thread I'm involved in. These sometimes are +1ed by others who wouldn't have said a damn thing without those poster's initial non-sense, but it's not like I can't see what's going on.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

That HAS to be it. a grudge, an agenda, a conspiracy. It couldn't be that sometimes (and it appears more and more often) that you are coming across in a condescending and/or jerkish manner and some of us miss the other guy that brought an always interesting (if not always correct) view to the table. Peterkn 17 #35 March 29, 2011 Quote All you have to do is: 1. Click the link 2. When you see the picture of me jumping out a plane, hit "LIKE" You’ve said that this is a picture of you jumping out of a plane. The rules for the competition site state: “…By entering, you represent that: (i) your entry is your own original work; and (ii) you own or have the rights to convey any and all right and title in any material submitted as part of your entry into the Contest. By entering, you grant to Sponsor a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to edit, publish, promote, republish at any time in the future and otherwise use your submission…” This clearly isn’t your own original work, and I doubt very much if you own the copyright on this image. You will hopefully be disqualified by the competition organizers and sued by the photographer.

kallend 2,106 #37 March 29, 2011 I see nothing special about this photo. There are thousands of photos around of people doing tandem jumps. This isn't even a good one.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.

skymama 37 #40 March 29, 2011 I have to agree with Quade on this one. I have a big issue with people telling me they need me to do something instead of asking me nicely if I could do them a favor. And it makes it worse when they assume I'm going to do it just because they told me they need me to. You catch more flies with honey than vinegar. MikeJD 0 #43 April 1, 2011 I find the whole concept of internet 'competitions' completely cynical. After all, they're just vehicles for the sponsors to promote themselves, and the result is usually about how big an online community of voters you can mobilise (as evidenced by all the similar threads here) rather than the merit of your entry. Don't see the point, I guess.
