Charity donation posts

Recommended Posts

With the upcoming spring and summer seasons lots of people are getting out and helping their favorite charity and that is a great thing but here just a quick refresher on the forums policy for asking for donations. If you are fundraising for a charity or cause and want to ask the forum members for a donation to your organization please ask Sangiro for permission before doing so in the forums. Dropzone.com has thousands of readers that have opened up their wallets to help many people in the past and I hope this continues in the future but at the same time we would like to keep the forums from becoming overwhelmed with hundreds of requests for donations for every cause under the sun.

There has not been an issue recently with any of the requests approval so do not feel like your fundraising efforts will be denied off the site, just please ask before you post asking for donations. :)

I need beer money... just kidding!

Feed the Pigeons in the park. I saw a women feeding birds at the airport and thought that to be uncool...

I love parties that go to help others, and love skydiver. I hope they become a part of charities that help the world! :)

If permission is granted are all the mods notified so the thread is not deleted?

No, we're not that organized. ;)

Ask Meso. :)

Appreciate the comment Andrea but that still does not answer the question.

You see I have a fundraising event in about a month for Autism awareness that also involves skydiving.

How do I go about asking and getting permission to post a thread as per Phrees sticky?

Honestly, it seems a bit odd that you would need permission for something like this when some of the other stuff you see here needs no authorization at all.
Onward and Upward!

Mods typically will not delete any charity events, though if something 'suspicious' is noted, it may be discussed in the team room to find out if it was approved. So one won't typically have to worry about it being removed if you've asked permission.

One can private message me with the details of the fund raising event.

It's because we had a member fundraise for herself one time after she had hit hard times. It was only after people sent money to her that we found out she was still living a pretty cushy life, like having her own tanning bed, and it made us change the rules for everyone.
