skydiver30960 0 #1 January 8, 2011 The marketing company working for ESPN must be raking it in, and they deserve it. For what seems like forever (twenty years or so?) their ads have been GREAT. They don't always make me ROFL, but just about every one brings a smile to my face. I love how they use the athletes, mascots, and other celebrities. I honestly can say that if ESPN ever made a DVD of the history of their ad campaign and included a bunch of the ads from old to new, I would buy it. Yes, I would pay money for a collection of commercials. I think they're that good. Elvisio "NFL playoffs are here!" Rodriguez
wolfriverjoe 1,523 #2 January 9, 2011 I haven't seen any directly tied to the NFL playoffs yet. The one with Alexander Ovetchkin (sp?) as a Russian spy is a good one, and the "Roll Tide" one (especially the graveside eulogy part) is great."There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." Same here.......I've often told friends I'd love to sit in on some of their advertising brainstorming sessions, just to hear the ones that DIDN'T make it on air. The Manning family taking the ESPN headquarters tour is still my favorite.....especially Archie's 'Don't make me stop this car !' look. Don"When in doubt I whip it out, I got me a rock-and-roll band. FreeflyChile 0 #4 January 11, 2011 There are some really old ones I like: one is where Danica Patrick parked in Dan Patrick's spot (because it was labeled "D. Patrick") and another is where the WWF wrestlers came in to run amok and were trying to convince them it was a real sport.
