boinky 0 #1 January 1, 2011 I have three things that I constantly tell my 15 year old son. 1. You are only as good as your word. If you tell someone that you Will/Won't do something, stick to it. If you break your promise, you are reducing your worth in your own eyes as well as someone else's. 2. Broaden your horizons. Do, Read, Watch or Eat something new every day. 3. Say something nice to someone every day. Number three is my challenge to you all. Starting today, make an effort to say something nice to someone every day. And mean it. It doesn't have to be fancy. It can be as simple as, "you have pretty eyes" or "that's a pretty shirt" or "you have a beautiful voice" or "nice car." You can be creative, but you need to mean it. You have no idea how an unexpected compliment, even a simple one can raise someone's spirits (trust me, I know). Not only will you have made them feel good, but you will get your own sense of pride knowing that you helped someone smile. Good luck! Feel free to report back here with your experiences.
