mutumbo 0 #1346 December 5, 2010 Mm. Memorable in a good way as a guy we saved by doig a surgical cricothrotomy (trach tube) REALLY far out with about a 20 min ride into the hospital. We had 4 medics in the back of the truck and a fiefighter driving. And we were getting our asses handed to us the entire way. NOTHING was going our way. Guy coded 3 times in the back of the truck en route while we were trying to get an airway established. Finally got him to the hospital where he walked out about 2 weeks later. Call of a lifetime. Memorable in a bad way well. You just dont wanna know. Trust me. That plan fell through due to a surgery. Sounds like a crazy job though. I have nothing but respect for people in that line of work.
