Right now I think we're in a bit of a cultural dip where this kind of technology is making everything easy to do, but the output and the experience are suffering. So everyone's a 'musician' (Rock Band), and a 'movie producer' (Xtranormal) - but not really. We're uploading barely watchable footage to YouTube, taking grainy pictures on our cellphone cameras and listening to tinny music through our cellphone speakers. We're making duff cartoon avatars of ourselves (yes, guilty, but at least I drew mine ). Having said that, the technology is catching up.
