Hats off to them all....that HAD to be tough!

33 miners went down into the hole -

15 couples and a threeway come back out.
I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama

You are welcome, but don't worry, Quade will be here before long to give me, and us, and entire bibliography thathe spent hours compiling just to let the forums know it wasn't really my joke.

I'd tell you who's it was, but you wouldn't believe me.

This has to be the best feel good story of the year. Hats off to the Chilean people for pulling together and for their unwavering devotion. Hats off also to the NASA guys who helped with the nutrition and psychological advice.

While I have routinely seen 23 people extracted at a time from a Twin Otter, from 2 1/2 miles above ground, I have to admit this rescue really does make me feel very happy and deeply impressed with the professionalism all around.

Your humble servant.....Professor Gravity !

Same here, glad they all came out alive and I hope they all recover from what must have been psychologically and emotionally damaging to some.

I bet you that the movie script is almost finished.

No doubt. This whole amazing episode has a real Apollo 13 feel to it - one of the great ordeal/ rescue stories of recent history.

They'll want some Latin American stars - my money's on Benicio del Toro. Maybe Rosie Perez as a wife (or mistress!)

I'm just happy that they though so highly of the US and it's combined internatiuona efforts that they gave away a lot of Texas Fllag Balloons to the crowd!
