If a post is deleted, every post that refers to it, or that refers to one that refers to it, etc. is automatically deleted. If it's particularly valuable the moderator can go put it back in by hand, but apparently it's a fairly major pain, so that only happens when it's really valuable. Now: how much of what's on dz.com is really valuable? So you can blame most of your deleted posts on someone else. Just as you can blame the whole unit's having to do pushups on the one fuck-up.
