Wii help

Recommended Posts

I've decided to purchase a Wii for the family after the kids played it over their cousin's house. What is the best setup? As in two controllers and thw sport package or the sport package and the nunchuks? I have no idea because I grew up on regular nintendo and regular controllers, but the wii is different.

I just dont want to get sucked into buying accessories we wont ever use.

Do not get the stupid package with the racket/bat things that you put the controllers in.

Get a standard package, then go buy another Wiimote and numchuck. Also get two classic controllers, since all the old games you loved on NES, SNES, N64, Genisis and some others are available for download cheap.

I'm a big fan of the Wii Fit. It's extra money to buy the board, but you'll get the kids to exercise when it doesn't feel like exercising. I do the Wii Fit and get all the high scores, then my son comes home from college and beats me, so then I spend the next 3 months trying to beat him before he comes home again. The competition makes it fun too!

What Dave said, but be sure to get the controllers that have the new motion accessory thing. You'll need them for some of the newer games (Wii Sports Resort for example, which is worth getting - the skydiving is hokey but most the other sports are fun).
