help need a rig cost idea

ok i plan on skydiving here in a few weeks and i know how much training is but i have no clue on the total for a decent begginer rig id be paying for it im just 16 (and yes my dz will train me at 16) just wondering incase i fall in love with it like so many of u have ;) so if anyone can give me a pretty basic price range for a complete rig id appreciate it

A good *used* first rig should be obtainable for $4000. That will be nearly top-of-the-line beginner equipment with moderate use. You can go as low as $2500, so really anything in between is fair game without going over the top or below acceptable level. If you wish to get new, which is definitely not necessary, then you'll be paying closer to $5000 unless you go as cheap as possible.

These are rough estimates, but definitely something to go by.

I just bought my first rig from the classifieds here:

Vector 3 - Very good condition

Spectre 210 - Only ~160 jumps

PD 193 Reserver - 2 rides?

Cypress 1 - Within 8 yr service period

Paid three grand, then another three hundred for Relative Workshop to install a skyhook, and inspect/repack everything.

I used RW as the third party for the transaction. Only after they said the rig was good to jump, did I send any money ;)
