A picture of a few women engineers. (Bet you can't find em!)

You know, my wife is a licensed professional engineer with a masters degree. She's also HOT and she's a skydiver. Life is really good on this side of the monitor.:)

Dig the ladies with the fun hats. Not only are they cute but that hat can be used to dust the condo.

I'm sorry not in a million years would I ever date a girl over a size 8. Never done it never going to do it.
I know girls who are the same about how tall a guy is.
Or worse how much he makes.
It is what it is and I am who I am and I know what I like and I know what I don't like. And such is life.

Do you even know what a size 8 is? Because women don't. It's a random number that means something different to each clothing manufacturer and basically totally arbitrary. There's no set "measurement" for women's sizes, which is really annoying and why we have to spend hours shopping. We can't just pick up something and know it's gonna fit like guys can. Personally, I've got stuff that's size 6 and stuff that's size 12 and it all fits, and the clothes are the same size if you lay them out together, but I certainly couldn't tell you what size it really is!

Best excuse ever! :D:D:P

:D:D I've found that shopping in Canada and the US is a nightmare for exactly the reason Nightingale describes. I have (American/Canadian) stuff ranging from 0 to 8 - all exactly the same "actual" size. Thankfully, it's a lot less ambiguous in the UK... Most size charts will tell you that a UK size 8 would fit a woman with the following measurements:

Bust: 32"
Waist: 25"
Hips: 35"

I have noticed differences in men's clothes of the same size on the tag, though not as disparate as you've seen. I wear a 32" waist and some jeans can either hang on my hips or be just a tad tight. For dress shirts, I have to go by neck size because my neck is just a little thicker than most, and sometimes I end up with shirts that hang well past my ass! :S

Size 8 = small/medium

If a man has nothing else he needs to have his standards. And that is one of my standards. It may not be easy to find but I'm going to stick to my guns and not lower my standards.
And before you throw an epic shit fit, mind you there are girls out there....and you know who you are....who have standards as well. You want your future Mr. Right to be X tall or make Y money. And you will reject guys simply based on either of those.
But you don't see us guys throwing a shit fit?

Not for those of us who hate shopping. It's just frustrating. I'd just like to go in, grab something that fits my measurements, try it on once, and leave.

I'm with you, not interested in dating girls over a size medium.

I find it hilarious how women are reacting. When I was overweight and looked like a geek, no women showed any interest. I lost weight, got in shape, changed clothes and hairstyle, now women come knocking.

Women are just as shallow as men are.

Yes and no... Many women don't want to date a guy who looks like he doesn't take care of himself. That says something about his personality and activity level. I've dated guys of all different body types, but most of them were in at least average shape. If a guy is too out of shape to manage to do the AIDS Walk with me, he's probably not going to want to go hiking, rock climbing, play in the wind tunnel, or do most of the other active things I like to do. I certainly don't mind geeks (I play World of Warcraft, so I'd be terribly hypocritical if I didn't date geeks!) but I eat pretty well and while jogging with a migraine ain't gonna happen, I exercise as much as I can when I'm feeling well, not because it makes me look good, but because it makes me feel good. Being healthy is important. The number on the scale is not.

While I've heard women say that they don't want to date a guy who doesn't take care of his health and can't or won't do the active things she likes to do, I have never heard a woman say "I'd never date a guy with a waist measurement of more than 32." I'm not sure women who aren't seamstresses really have a concept of what a 32 waist is, given that our clothes aren't sized like that. I'm sure those women do exist, but they're not nearly as common as men who spout womens dress sizes as a dating requirement.
