rob_v 0 #1 April 14, 2005 I'm a few months away from retiring my original Cypres. Where can I buy a new Cypres 2 for the best price?
Dumpster 0 #2 April 14, 2005 I think you'll find most dealers are charging just about the same for the Cypres 2. (I may be mistaken though - ) My suggestion is you try to find a dealer at your dropzone. You'll save shipping and possibly sales tax, keep the money local and build goodwill. Brian425 0 #3 April 14, 2005 I agree with dumpster 100%. For the $50 you might save, you will have on sight or at least local customer serivce. This can save you all the little headaches that sometimes come with a new major purchase. The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand. GravityGirl 0 #4 April 14, 2005 Since there is a factory imposed minimum sale price on the Cypres2, you will find most legitimate dealers all selling them for around the same price. Your best bet is to shop local. This should insure the best service in the event you have a return or other issue with your unit. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear! I paid about $875 for one of mine and a bit more for the other from the local DZO vs. $1200 MSRP from other sources (savings: $325). The Euro is stronger than the Deutsche Mark was and I've heard that there's less profit built in to the current MSRP so the savings may be different. I also have no idea if that deal is still available now that most people won't jump without a Cypres (my new one is 5 years old, the other 7 years). It couldn't hurt to talk to all of the DZs you frequent.

RossDagley 0 #7 April 19, 2005 $1275 for Cypres 2 direct from Aerodyne (with or without a new rig, although free fitting if inculded in container purchase iirc).
