Hvance 0 #2 July 19, 2010 Definitely one of the better summer movies, especially considering others like Knight and Day... Keeps you on your toes too.I wish Google Maps had an "Avoid Ghetto" routing option.

MikeJD 0 #4 July 19, 2010 I haven't seen it yet, but definitely plan to. DiCaprio generally gives good value for money, and I wouldn't bet against anything director Christopher Nolan does. Memento is still my absolute favourite film.
tharv17 0 #5 July 19, 2010 Agreed. Great flick good acting, cool story, and just well shot and nice to watch. Also extremely glad Nolan did not hop on the 3D bandwagon.
OlympiaStoica 0 #6 July 19, 2010 I'm not a big movie fan, but I'm hearing great things about it from everyone - I'll check it out :) O

That bandwagon in nothing new. In the fifties, Alfred Hitchcock, much against his will, was forced to film in 3-D for one of his movies. Using fifties technology, it was a huge pain in the rear. Can't recall which movie it was.

quade 4 #13 July 20, 2010 Quote 3-D is cool, but I'd much rather just watch a well directed movie with a good plot. The two aren't mutually exclusive; Avatar and recent Pixar films prove that. The problem is when somebody mistakes 3D for an alternative to making a good movie and assumes the 3D alone is enough. Clearly it's not.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

MikeJD 0 #16 July 20, 2010 Quote You mean like Jaws 3D? It's fun watching those old 3D movies in 2D. Lots of stuff poking or flying towards the camera for no apparent reason.

marcandalysse 0 #18 July 20, 2010 SEMI SPOILER- Back on point, its amazing that decaprio did two back to back movies (shutter island and inception)with so much in common (what is real/what is in the mind). I won't detail that statement because it would give too much away. I did like inception much much more though. mp "The reason angels can fly is that they take themselves so lightly." --GK Chesterton
lost_n_confuzd 0 #19 July 20, 2010 Inception was a GREAT movie. Can't wait for the blue-ray. Leo is definately one of my favorite actors. He doesn't settle for just any role like other actors do. It was also good to see Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the film. I really like his role and the way he played it. I thought the zero-g fight scene in the hallway was on point, especially the grappling. Also, is it me, or was Arthur's fight scene wearing the 3-piece suit minus the jacket reminiscent of Morpheus' (wearing the same) fight scene in the Matrix? I'll wait 2 weeks before I post more spoiler-ish questions and comments.
