masterrig 1 #379 June 1, 2010 Dunno! I tuned in just after the anthem. Chuck
masterrig 1 #380 June 1, 2010 The Blackhawks squeaked through that one! Sloppy play and bad passes by the Blackhawks could've had the game go the other way. Whew! Did you see that hit earlier in the game by Philly? I know, the Blackhawk player was the intended target but that was funny as hell! Two down... two to go! Go Blackhawks!!! murrays 0 #381 June 1, 2010 I just read that home teams that win the first two games in the finals are 31-2. Hawks lost to Montreal in 1971 and the pens lost to Detroit last year. So, Philly doesn't have history on their side but that didn't stop them when they were down 3-0 a few weeks ago. That was a pretty good game. Niemi made several good saves. I thought Hossa played well. He was working hard and showing a lot of desire. Go Hawks!-- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
grimmie 186 #382 June 1, 2010 Hey, the Pens WON last year!Niemi was brilliant in goal, the difference in the game.
murrays 0 #383 June 1, 2010 Quote Hey, the Pens WON last year!Niemi was brilliant in goal, the difference in the game. O h good grief! I sure crossed that up didn't I? Point remains the same, and that is Philly is not in a good position. These stats are higher than I thought. I didn't realize how important getting the split is to the visiting team. You're going to have to avert your eyes Grimmie...Hossa's chances of hoisting the Cup are pretty good.-- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
masterrig 1 #384 June 1, 2010 I thought Niemi did great! Especially when Philly was pounding away at the Chicago net. Hossa was trying to set-up plays and working hard. No matter, Chicago is going to have to keep-up the fast pace and tire Philly out. At one point, Philly's coach was trying to slow the pace down but it didn't work. Those big goons can't hold-up for sixty minutes. Chicago just needs to keep their heads. Chuck
grimmie 186 #385 June 1, 2010 Grimmie is going to avoid watching Hossa hoist the Cup!Let's go FLYERS! (from the "too little, too late, department")

But damn, I just wanna see who Hossa begs to be traded to next year. Please make him cry Flyers. And I really don't want to see Kandy Kane skate with a Cup either. Have a yippee ki ya day! We already figured out who Hossa wants to go to.... it's the 1976 Canadiens. Trade demand already in his agent's hands! FreeflyChile 0 #388 June 2, 2010 I'm a relatively recent hockey fan, but it looked to me like the Hawks won the two games without much from their first line, and you'd think Kane and/or Toews will show up at some point this series and make their mark... Go Hawks! (and if they win it, why not the Cubs..?)
masterrig 1 #389 June 2, 2010 Where have Kane and Toews been? It'd be nice if, they'd show-up. I've seen this before in the play-offs and finals and the 'stars' don't shine but the rest of the team pulls-out wins. This may be the case here. I would like to see the Blackhawks win it all. Chuck
grimmie 186 #390 June 2, 2010 Watch close, Kane has been tricky with the puck but no results. Toews is watched like a "Hawk" by the Flyers D. The stars usually get the clutch and grab treatment and get pounded when they touch the puck. Max Talbot was a hero last year for the Pens. Guys like Bolland and Eager make great legends of themselves this timne of year. Niemi is the key to this series.
masterrig 1 #391 June 2, 2010 Oh, I'm not saying Kane isn't trying. He's just run a string of bad luck. Niemi has been great.
FreeflyChile 0 #392 June 2, 2010 QuoteOh, I'm not saying Kane isn't trying. He's just run a string of bad luck. Niemi has been great. Agreed... and I think Kane and Toews will break through one of these games.

Toews and Kane will 'make their appearance'!Chuck
grimmie 186 #394 June 3, 2010 I think the Flyers have the upper hand now. The Hawks have to be kicking themselves for allowing a weak goal right after Kane's breakaway tally. This is tunring into one of the best finals in a long time.
masterrig 1 #395 June 3, 2010 I didn't exhale till it was over. Once again, the Blackhawks were making little mistakes. This IS going to be a great series! Go Blackhawks. Chuck
murrays 0 #396 June 3, 2010 One of the CBC commentators said some things about Toews that make me wonder if he is hurt....not moving his legs, hunching over a lot. ANy of you notice anything to make you think he is hurt?-- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
masterrig 1 #397 June 3, 2010 Yes! I kinda' wondered about that. You know about NHL teams, staying 'closed-mouth' about injuries and not making a big deal about them. Chuck
streaker 0 #398 June 4, 2010 I've said all along this will be a great series....What a game last night....We lost it...but wow what a game! GO BLACKHAWKS!!!!!!! Have a yippee ki ya day!
masterrig 1 #399 June 4, 2010 Hell yeah! I'm sure, Chicago learned a lot from it and will come-back strong, next game. Philly had better not get too confident. Chuck
masterrig 1 #400 June 5, 2010 Looks like, the Blackhawks didn't learn from game 3. Hjalmarsson made a couple bad mistakes early in the game, in front of his own net, which led to two goals for Philly. He wasn't the only one but his mistakes seemed to give Philly the momentum. The Blackhawks need to win on their home ice or otherwise, the 'Hossa Hex' just might have some believability! Chuck
