BillyVance 34 #1 July 4, 2010 Any predictions? Carwin looks like the real deal. Lesnar is coming back from a bad case of Diverticulitis and dropped some weight so now these two fighters are almost dead even weight wise at 265 lbs. Both have knockout power. If Lesnar gets Carwin on the ground and pound, it could be over. But finally Lesnar has an opponent that can test Lesnar's jaw. I don't have the PPV so I can't watch it anyway."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban

BillyVance 34 #3 July 4, 2010 Quote Is this boxing or something like that? Mixed Martial Arts. They fight in a chain-link fenced octagon. Full contact, all styles of fighting. SKYWHUFFO 1 #5 July 4, 2010 so far the undercard only 1 good fight. I was disappointed in Kendall Grove. I thought he would dominate it, but just squeeked out a 29-28 decision.
BillyVance 34 #6 July 4, 2010 Quote My money is on Carwin! Lesnar made Carwin tap out late in the 2nd round after he got a triangle choke hold on him after a take down. I'm actually surprised. That may be his first win via tap out, and against the most impressive opponent thus far too. Carwin won the 1st round 10 - 8 I think, since he seemed to be striking better and Lesnar got cut open over the eye. As the 2nd round started, Carwin appeared to be gassed out already. Advantage Lesnar. Lesnar may be a big bitch, but he's now the undisputed champ. jtval 0 #7 July 4, 2010 Lesnar may have been molded over the last year or so. He left the bullshit wwe antics out of the octagon this time. I can't say I respect him yet but he at least acted professionally. if he keeps that up, he'll win some respect from me. He DID NOT deserve submission of the night, though. According to the webpage Lytle submitted Brown Via Armbar. I watched the fight but its questionable whether it was ref stoppage or submission but the arm lock put on by Lytle was impressive. Brock looked like an idiot in the first round. He had NO idea wtf was happening. Carwin gassed out and he took advantage of it in round two. Brock is definitely growing as a fighter but I was angry to see Shane tap. He could have turned to his left to possibly get out of the choke. My photos My Videos

BillyVance 34 #9 July 4, 2010 Quote Guess his first adventure into a second round was more than he could take! ( I didn;t see the fight) Yeah, none of Shane's prior opponents survived the 1st round. He really went on the offensive against Brock. Brock was still moving around and defending with his arms and legs so the referee knew he was still in the game. Guess maybe this match showed that Brock's head isn't made of glass! I agree though, he was totally disrespectful to Mir in his previous fight. He's grown up some since. Did Matt Hamill fight in the previous UFC event? UFC 115? He's the deaf fighter. I couldn't find anything and he was supposed to fight June 19."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
pbwing 0 #10 July 4, 2010 Yeah, he fought Keith Jardine. Good fight. Jardine was some bloodied. That Hamill can take a shot. The Dean was hitting him with some pretty good punches and he was hanging in there. Hamill won on decision, but Jardine did lose a point in the second round for an accidental eye poke. jtval 0 #12 July 4, 2010 Quote I agree though, he was totally disrespectful to Mir and Heath herring, and the UFC and its sponsors. all in his 5 fight history he has made an ass of him self on all of them expect this one. Maybe diverticulitis was good for him.My photos My Videos
