airtwardo 7 #1 April 14, 2010 Wife's 05 sebring won't start... Was running fine, (10,000miles on it) ran some errands, got home, went to leave again and nothing. Battery is good, neutral safety switch doesn't seem to be it. no click no nuthin...terminals tight. Could it be the chip key thingie? One anomaly...the steering column not doesn't lock when the key is removed. I checked quite a few on-line sites but no help...ANY ideas?? ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~
BillyVance 34 #2 April 14, 2010 Don't you have a stone vehicle you can take? Requires nothing but foot power. Sorry, got nothing as far as the Sebring goes. Who makes it? millertime24 8 #4 April 14, 2010 Could be the connections on the starter as well. Check to make sure all three are on and secure. One is the positive from the batt, ont is the ground strap, and the 3rd is the wire that comes from your ignition switch. Also check all starting system fuses/relays.Muff #5048
regulator 0 #5 April 14, 2010 Get a digital volt meter and check the terminals to eliminate the battery. But if the interior lights and dash lights illuminate its not your battery.
NewGuy2005 53 #6 April 14, 2010 Make sure the transmission is in "park." If it is in park, put it in and out of park a few times and try again.

SARLDO 0 #8 April 14, 2010 Had a very similar issue on my Jeep a few months ago. Dispite all indications it was good, turned out to be the battery.
