AggieDave 6 #1 April 12, 2010 After 2 years of crappy service, my $50-ish gas trimmer finally died. I could pull the motor apart and fix it, but I hated the trimmer. Hard to start, very crappy bump feed. Anyways, I'm seeking recommendations for a good trimmer. Something with automatic feed and NOT 2-cycle would be nice. I've even considered an electric trimmer. My edger and blower are both electric and both work very well. The reviews online for electric trimmers, though, are less than stellar. Ideas?--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
jcain 0 #2 April 12, 2010 I just bought the craftsman 29cc 4 cycle weed eater with the straight shaft that allows you to put different head for different things. There is lots of options like electric start and drill start very happy with itp.s. 179.99 for the weedeater
JohnDeere 0 #3 April 12, 2010 I own a Stihl FS85r and a FS 110r. Both are great! I have never had a problem with either. I use them around the house and for work, so they have been well tested. But they are 2 stroke. I have had luck with Stihl for these two and a chain saw and blower. No problems with any of them!Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers! One container of fuel in my garage fuels all of my gear, except the weed whacker. It thinks its special. I say it isn't and should conform to the rest of my gas powered gear...--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." JohnDeere 0 #10 April 12, 2010 Actually if you put 2 cycle oil in all your gas its good for all small gas engines. Then you can only have one gas around Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!

Then again the lines were on a deploying canopy. The canopy/d-bag were caught on the step of the 182. The jumper wasn't! --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." chriswelker 0 #19 April 13, 2010 Honda 4-stroke. They don't give them away but well worth the money. Mine is 9 years old and still runs like a new one. Even cranks on the first pull. Chris
