rsl costs...

Recommended Posts

I think gear mfgrs should offer a really good deal on spare parts at the time of a new rig order - handles, freebag & PC.
People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am

is it really $50 for a fabric line and a shackle?

Nope it's really about $3.00 in materials. The rest is really stupid shit like; labor, insurance, taxes, vehicles, overhead, (phones, lights, advertising, equipment, materials carrying cost, etc.) And then, there's this itty bitty little part called "profit" which when done may be the equivalent of the $3.00 in materials.
Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Agreed that the profit on a one off RSL is well under $10 when all is said and done, but the shackle is worth quite a bit more than $3.00 it's self.

The following is the line in the RI price list for the RSL:

AR2170 RESERVE STATIC LINE (RSL)/SS 50.00

The SS stands for Stainless Steel. ParaGear sells Stainless Steel RSL Shackles for $23 for 1 shackle or $16 if you buy 20 or more.

Don't forget that whole pesky TSO process for the RSL (and its assoiated harness/ container) cost. Usually around $100,00.00 or so. I'm just sayin! Btw me and and B are jumping again this summer, rigs packed and everthing! Hell yeah.

Mick.
