Dytter Questions

Recommended Posts

I know I'm going to get burned for this, and told to get a new (pro) dytter, but I have just been given an original dytter, without any manual or other details...
I would like to know if there is a test that I can do on the ground to see if it is working ok...
(And yes, I know the obvious test is just to jump with it!)

Also if anyone knows where I can download any information about them, manuals and the such like.

Many thanks!

Turn the metal thing with your finger or thumb, counter-clockwise (I think), until it starts to whine a bit, then adjust it slowly it until it's making a nice loud beep.

Take note of where it's pointing (there should be markings around the adjuster, and one on the adjuster), and then move it clockwise, one mark per 1000 feet I think.

I seem to remember an LED that lights up when you get it 'zero'd too ...?

.. or something like that

Like already said, turn it till it beeps, but I would set mine on the way up to altitude. Turn it till it beeps at the altitude you want it to beep, and then there is no need to turn it back a certain number of hash marks.

Some of them are not so loud, I think they made it louder in later models.
People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
