Considering the original intent of the Olympics was to celebrate the skills of the warrior, I'd say at least more than half of today's events.

I have to assume that back-in-the-day, they also had the "Don't Tell, Don't Ask" guidelines for the macho men doing spins, toe loops and triple axels on their way to battle.

Caber toss is awesome to watch. Seen it at a few Highland Games festivals.

Sailing is the sport I'd most like to see taken out. I'm not a big fan of sports that are judged for style, so that could put a lot of them on the chopping block.

I also think Biathlon is awesome.

The caber toss is ideal for a pseudo-military sport.

What could be better than two opposing armies lining up
and attacking by throwing 20-ft poles at each other ?

"That guy is using a 23-ft pole. That is prohibited by
the long-range pole limitation treaty."

Now there's a sport that has military implications.
The old "hit and run" strategy.

I never understood the "line up shoulder-to-shoulder and wear red coats" strategy.

Maybe it bored 'em to death....battle over.

Warrior 1: Hey Papalous, what's that coming our way?
Warrior 2: It looks like some sort of rock or something.
Warrior 1: Well, keep an eye on it for us, eh, pretty boy while I go to chow?
Warrior 2: Righto! Big Daddy!

later, after chow

Warrior 1: Papalous!! Wake up! Wake up! Medic! Medic!

Enemy camp: We will, we will ROCK you!
My reality and yours are quite different.
