likestojump 3 #2 February 26, 2010 the enzymes in soap only activate above a certain temperature, so if you are using cold water you may as well forgo the soap.
wolfriverjoe 1,523 #3 February 26, 2010 Well, it's easier on the hands, and it helps the soap foam, and it softens stuff up better. So, yes. At least I think so. And how much waste is it to use a couple galllons?"There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." LongWayToFall 0 #5 February 26, 2010 The special thing about soap, is that it allows water and oil to mix together. Usually they would remain separate. The extra temp, in my mind, thins the oil and makes it easier to mix with the water. So yeah, I would say hot water is best.

pontiacgtp00 0 #7 February 26, 2010 If they're greasy...using cold water seems to solidify grease, making it harder to clean up. Hot water keeps it in a liquid state. I used to wash a couple hundred pizza pans a day and I always kept the water seering hot.
