BillyVance 34 #2 February 24, 2010 I have actually seen shit like that with my own eyes looking out windows from the terminals. Friend of mine from college had gotten an expensive bottle of cognac as a gift and he wasn't allowed to carry it on. So he wrapped it up with his clothes and put it in his checked baggage (one of those fabric kinds). When he went to claim his bag, there was a huge stain on one side. Yep, busted the bottle. Nataly 38 #5 February 24, 2010 Quoteare we really surprised? It's about what I would expect. Yep.. Pretty much what I expected.. I avoid checking stuff in like the plague.. I reckon I can usually buy abroad, so I always bring only the bare essentials. If I'm carrying anything of value (sentimental or otherwise), I make sure I really need it with me and it fits in my carry-on."There is no problem so bad you can't make it worse." - Chris Hadfield « Sors le martinet et flagelle toi indigne contrôleuse de gestion. » - my boss

Of all the stuff one should avoid in checked baggage, I think THE PLAGUE should be high on the list. ...of course, it would be a good way to pay back those Baggage Monkeys. _____________________________________ Dude, you are so awesome... Rookie120 0 #13 February 25, 2010 What do you expect for $9 an hour? The only good thing the rampers do for us is job security. For the amount of stuff they smash up I will always have a job.If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!
