Tiger6513 0 #4 February 10, 2010 I am from Vermont and snow is fine when the city knows how to deal with it. I moved to Baltimore a few years back and this is the first real snow we have had. 30 inches fell over the weekend and we have about 6 of freshies and 12-16 more coming. Baltimore Sucks at removing snow, the whole city is basicaly shut down... frustratingTravis Roy Foundation. At very least its a tax write off

I just don't want it to be cold anymore. I could handle hot, hotter, humid and hurricanes! virgigirlie 0 #21 February 10, 2010 I'm from Michigan and we're definitely used to snow here, but i still hate it. It's cold, it's icy, it's slushy, you can't see the road/car in front of you, you have to clean off/dig out your car, people don't know how to drive (but that's all the time!). For months on end. Even when it's not actually snowing it's still cold as fuck. I've lived here my whole 28 years and I don't hate it any less just because it's normal for the area. Winter and snow suck ass. I can't wait to move to a warmer climate. Hoping for CA (or Oregon or Utah...) in the next few years. Edited to add: But at least the whole area doesn't shut down when it snows. It sucks going to work, but I can go to the store, etc. and the roads are usually kept somewhat driveable (sp?)."If you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning." ~Catherine Aird

Tiger6513 0 #24 February 10, 2010 The Maryland State Highway administration is urging all Maryland drivers to stay off the roads due to the extreme weather conditions. The city of Baltimore has implemented phase iii of their snow plan... which means that only emergency vehicles are allowed on the Road. WOW, this is crazy. I work in a Radiology Dept at a hospital here in downtown, I live close to home so I can walk home but my whole dept. was just told they have to stay here tonight because of the emergency phase 3 in Baltimore. Not even 8 inches of fresh snow from last night and they freak out around here. My liquor store is open though!!!! Travis Roy Foundation.
