Your wedding ring wouldn't happen to be white gold, would it? ;)

The Donaldson quote is the 2nd time I saw something like it. The first was from an old martial arts text predating it. However, Donaldson was an avid martial artist and likely stole the quote for the Covenant series.

Driving is a one dimensional activity - a monkey can do it - being proud of your driving abilities is like being proud of being able to put on pants

>Many people have the misconception that martial arts training helps you in fighting because you get all these mad skillz (like breaking boards, roundhouse kicks and the Five Pointed Palm Exploding Heart technique) - but I think that's less of an issue than the simple ability to think under pressure when someone else is applying that pressure.

More quotes - Batman Begins - "what's training but the will, the will to act"

of course, I'm sure I mangled that quote (SOP for me and quoting), but pretend it's in Liam N's voice and then it's cool.

I"m not going to read through this entire thread...

I totally hear what you are saying... It's quite simple: there is a double standard and there always will be.

It is never acceptable to pop a woman in the mouth however deserving it would be. Don't hold back because of what society thinks, but rather do it for yourself. As difficult as it may be don't care what the world thinks and don't degrade yourself by hitting someone else regardless of gender. Equality and fairness do not exist and don't let that be a barrier to being above it all.

Flame on...
