If it is, they sure did take a lot of time to make a good website. The only things I didn't see were: How much is it and where can I get it?

It's been pretty widely reported, but so far no specific release date or price that I know of. Although I have heard 'later this year' and 'affordable', whatever that means.

Edited to add:
The photos I've seen make it look like it's built mainly from expanded polystyrene. No surprises there given the need to keep it light and robust, but I always think that stuff looks cheap and ugly. It's a shame you can't seem to mould it with a really smooth surface.

What sort of range would you have on it, it's controller via WiFi, that hads a pretty limited range doesn't it?
You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky)

On Ad-hoc, it's limited to backyard use. But with their API, you could easily build a flight path that leaves range, flies a designated pattern and return.

Which is why I think that Homeland Security may have an issue. Scouting + cheap cruise missile.
Trapped on the surface of a sphere. XKCD

I'm sure it could be modified, but have you ever flown an RC copter? They can hardly lift a 'AA' battery off the floor let alone fly accurately with anything attached to them. The gas/fuel powered ones are a bit of a different story.

One would be much better off buying an RC airplane which could be flown with small camera, and then some attached to it. They also have pretty long transmission ranges too.
